May Favorites 2017
Hey Loves!
Can you believe it is already JUNE! Where the heck is the time going. I just had a conversation with my stepmom about me turning 26 in 6 months! Yall how is that possible?! I was just 18!
Anyways, you guys love April favorites last month so I decided to share them again!
So, this month I kicked off another bible journaling challenge. We explored the book of Proverbs and boy did I learn so much. I think the book of Proverbs is very interesting because it’s a guideline to how we should be living our lives as Christians. There were so many days that I was convicted because I struggle listening to authority lol. I just really hate being told what to do you know? Well, I’m just grateful that God constantly extends His mercy on me and He is forever working on this heart.
I also love hosting this challenge because we get to grow together in the Word! Thank you to everyone who participated. I enjoy emailing with yall back in forth discussing the verses! PLUS I have a journal with a bunch of proverbs, isn’t it cute! (shameless plug) you can purchase your own journal here! Shall we do another Bible challenge? What are topics yall wanting?
This month I’ve also been really focused on my skin. The summertime is when I get most of my acne primarily because of the sweat sitting on my face. I’ve been trying out some new skincare products and I’ve been loving the formula scrub and this witch hazel wipes.
The scrub is gentle enough that I can use it every day but tough enough to get all the nasty gunk off. I love using it after a long day, it’s super refreshing.
I was so able to find these witch hazel wipes. I can’t tell you how many Targets and Walmarts I went into looking for Witch Hazel. Do they not sell this in stores anymore?! Anyways, I glad that I found these because the pads are soaked in the Witch Hazel so it eliminated a few extra steps. I do this after I rinse off the scrub to tone my face.
Make sure you are subscribed because I’m writing a blog post on my current skincare routine. I have some hidden gems in there. (another shameless plug)
If you follow me on Instagram I’ve been talking about the new Pantene Pro-V Gold Series. I’m freaking obsessed. I was lucky enough to get the entire line sent to me and yall I’m not lying when I say I was truly impressed with the products. Now we all know Pantene and its long-running history but when it comes to natural hair products I had an eyebrow raise. I can fully say I was pleasantly surprised. I absolutely loved the Curl Defining Jelly, I’m literally already out. Seriously try it for yourself and let me know what you think.
I promised I would never tell you to spend your money if I didn’t think a product was absolutely amazing.
This month I had to get a tooth removed, ugh I hate going to the dentist but before I went I prepped my mouth with some thieve essential oils. This oil is pretty much great for anything! It numbed the area almost completely so when I had to get the numbing shot I don’t feel a thing! I also used it on my gums when the novocaine wore off. I was able to sleep like a baby and didn’t have to take any pain meds!
SN: I’m not a doctor so please don’t put oils anywhere on your body if you don’t feel comfortable. Let me know if you want the hook up on the oil (wink wink).
The last thing I was obsessed with this month is these Nature Valley bar. Guys I am not kidding when I say I am so excited I found these things. They are the perfect breakfast snack. I put on in the microwave for a few second and my mouth watered with every bite. I can’t even describe it, you just have to try it for yourself.
Well, that’s all for my May Favorites. I hope you guys enjoyed reading and be sure to subscribe if you haven’t already. I have a few giveaway coming soon!
As always, comment what you have been loving in May, I’m looking for some new things to try in June!
