How I Connect With God

There is something about being in nature that grounds me. Lately, there have been so many things going on in my life and I just need a break. It’s that kind of moment when you just want to run away and start looking for any exit sign.
Well, we can’t exit every situation because one day we will have to face what’s behind that door to get to the other side. For me, when life gets crazy I have to get grounded. I physically have to go to an area with a lot of trees, take off my shoes, and just stand in the grass.

I feel more connected to God when I’m a small thing in His huge creation. I don’t take my phone, which is hands down my biggest distraction. I just breathe in the fresh air and let my toes feel the blades of grass below me. Instantly, I feel connected and grounded.

Currently, I am facing a lot of life decisions. This adulting thing is no joke, I miss the days when my parents made all the decisions for me (life was simpler then). I get overwhelmed just thinking about all the decisions and the possible outcomes. My constant prayer is that I make the final choice based on what God wants for me and not based on the opinions of those around me.
