Hello, beauties! Last weekend I had to opportunity to not only attend the Dallas expo but also work as a brand ambassador for TGIN. I went to the event last year as a blogger and I had so much fun, it was the first natural hair event I ever went to. I was just starting my journey as a YouTuber and kind of just fell into the natural hair community, and by fell I mean I fell in love. It was amazing to be around so many beautiful natural haired women. After the event, I knew that I had to keep vlogging about the things I learned. I started doing crazy research because I just wanted to take care of my hair better and teach other women to do the same. Being at the first hair show it was like everyone was speaking this secret language and I wanted in.
Attending the event a year later felt completely different. I had grown a lot of support on the internet and had a new knowledge of this community. I also knew a lot of the influencers and it was like this crazy reunion with some of my favorite social media beauties.
Working with TGIN just boosted the event to a different level for me. I got the chance to talk to so many women, some deep in their natural hair journey and many just starting. It was fun getting to share “terror” stories of having crazy dry hair or cutting out our chemically treated hair. This time it really felt like a sisterhood.
It was also really nice working with this fellow YouTubers. We shared our favorite products (which we got to run and get right there in the expo for crazy discounts) and what worked best for us. We talked about getting further in our businesses and just became instant supports for each other. It’s nice to have other bloggers support you. This business can be a little crazy but meeting the right people is everything.

All in all, I’m so thankful I got to go to this event, I almost didn’t simply because I live in Houston now and didn’t want to make the trip. I’m so happy I didn’t let distance keep me from an amazing event.

PS. How could I forget, I got to meet the Glamtwins. They are so freaking sweet like seriously sweet . If you ever get the chance to meet them def stop and say hi I’m sure they will embrace you will warm hugs 🙂
